Questing!

Finally finish one of the difficult quests which started from Port Bastok. Peach was asked to get 3 song sheets from 3 Treasure Chests in Sea Serpent Gotto, Onzozo & Castle Zvahl.

With the help of Vot & Wiz, we went to Onzozo to hunt for a key. We "skill-up" for about an hour with no keys drop. We had decided to stop at 2a.m. and just 5 mins before 2a.m, the key finally dropped!



As Peach does not want to make another trip to hunt the Treasure Chest, Peach stayed in Onzozo to hunt for it. It was a lucky night as just a few steps down the tunnel, Peach spotted the Treasure Chest! After waiting patiently for the Scorpion and gobs to turn away, Peach finally got the song sheet (key item)!

Peach made a trip to Castle Zvahl the next day to hunt for the Treasure Chest (got a key during a coffer key hunting trip). This time it wasn't as lucky. Peach ran through all the spots and the Treasure Chest is no where to be found. Finally, Peach decided to cast Escape and run through all the spots again. It was a good decision made, as the Treasure Chest is found near where the Dark Spark NM is. Hurray!

Went back to Port Bastok to turn in the 3 song sheets and got a reward of 10,000 gil. Now Peach can start another quest which earn her the Siren Flute (That's what Peach is missing for her Bard job)!

It is just a Game

I was told today, It is just a game. I agree.

How I envy Zaan, Iio. They have such good buddys who will stay by their side for adventures. How I wish, I was one of them. But I am not. I have to create my party of buddys, but it never is easy.

Throughout this one year, I have seen many. Many places I left my footsteps, many cities I left my name. But I know I have not seen all. But, where can I find that someone-s who are willing to see all with me? But I was told, it is just a game.

If it is just a game, why are you angry when someone hitch a ride?

If it is just a game, why are you cursing when the party is full of newbies instead of teaching them?

If it is just a game, why are you disappointed with failures in missions/quests, with level-down, with kissing the soil?

Is "it is just a game" a good excuse? Or a good consolation?

YES, this is just a game. But in this game, it brings out your character. Whether you are selfish, or a born-leader, or responsible, or committed, or greedy, or helpful, or a leecher, or whatever you can be called in the whole world, thr truth is, the game brings out what you are in real. Why escape from the reality from a game? In game, or out game, you will be who you are. The character in you shows.

It's never easy to try organising events, especially to some who are not committed and willing. No more, Peach promise. No more. 'Cos Peach understands : "It is just a game". A Chinese proverb said, if a man doesnt look after himself, no one will, not even the heaven or the earth.

Tired

Peach is alittle tired, alittle disappointed. Peach wonders whether there's still a goal for her to pursue for adventure in vanadial. Peach may pack up her bags and leave soon....Who will Peach miss? Who will miss Peach?

Trick or Treat!

The Event starts! The whole city of Sandoria, Windurst & Bastok filled with players wearing Beastmen costume! What a scary sight it is!

Peach enjoy taking part the events! It's fun! It's interesting, but it's burning Peach's pockets too. Having to trade a sweet to get a "prize", Peach has to try and try to get the cute pumpkin head. And of course, Peach tried most of the costumes too!

I missed my chance to pick up a free Dark Staff. Someone must be in such a hurry. But Peach is too slow, while struggling to take a snapshot, the Dark Staff was picked up by someone else.....

Farming for Recollections

Today, we went to Promyvion-Holla to farm for recollections. Not a bad session, given that the recollections are rare/ex drop, we got a total of 3 PAIN & 1 FEAR. We stayed at 1st floor to farm, but after a while, some members wanted some {excitment} as the monsters at 1st floor are too easy kill for us, an alliance of 9.

We managed to clear the 1st floor MR so that we could teleport to lvl 2. However, after staying at level 2 for awhile, we realise that lvl 1 is more farm-friendly place. And we port back again to farm in lvl 1.

Almost every Saturday afternoon, Wiz, Cairi & I will gather together to level THF, NIN & BRD respectively. Today, we lvl 2x! Thanks to a great party setup and good level location. The fishes are good XP and fast kill with Darkx powerful bow shot ^^;

Yeah! My WHM is 41!

Set up a party to level my WHM. All are Japanese and fun people to play with. We thought of going Gustav Tunnel, however, when we reached thare, the camp area had 3 parties there! We teleport to altep to find a spot for camping and all agree to go over to OUTPOST.

In no time, Peach level to 40. And before the party ends at 12am, Peach level to 41! However, there's no XP buffer and can delevel anytime *

Sea Serpent Gotto

Brought Felixsky to get his Nin scroll quest done in Sea Serpent Gotto. Together with Votricion & Dragonwiz, we had skillup party there. It was relaxing, fun and more fun! We got each of us a Gotto Chest key (Vot, Wiz and me, Felix left) and hunt for the Treasure Chest. Wow! The sprawn time for the Treasure Chest was long! However, all of us got the map from the Treasure Chest and with another extra key, we opened another Treasure Chest to receive 3773 gil each. In addition, we spot the fish NM : Fyuu the Seabellow ! We sleepga all the adds, and proceed to bring the NM down. Alas, the frog trousers did not drop. However, we each had 800 gil dropped from the NM. Not a bad trip afterall!

Promyvion - Dem

Was invited to Promyvion-Dem by Moooomento. With 13 members, we started our journey up to the Spire. It was a tedious process, with a few deaths. Peach had never cast so many Raise spell in one day as a White Mage.

After about 2 hours, we finally reached the spire. The Boss which we are supposed to fight is rated as rather tough by people who had attempted it. When the Boss is about to die, it will sprawn offsprings which will "distract" and "harass"the party members. So the strategy is to kill off the boss asap!

Given a party of War/Nin, 2 x Smn, whm/blm, Rng/Nin & Thf/Nin (?), it was a clean fight. No offsprings! With Eagle Eye Shot by the Rng, 2 x Astral Flow, Mighty Stikes, the boss was brought down before it has a chance to sprawn the offsprings!

Yeah! Left with Promyvion - Holla! But Peach got to help the others in the Linkshell to complete Mea & Dem.

Quest!

Finished a quest today in Oldton, Thanks to Wiz! We had to kill an NM which is like Bugbear family. The fight was pretty easy. After the fight, a cutscene appears after I talk to the goblin/moblin npc. And all he does is jump up and down ^^;

Dark Ore!

Yeah! I finally harvest a Dark Ore from the Tree cuttings which I planted. Didn't joint down the exact details but I feed it with Dark Crystals for both times (Didn't jote down the element day), and harvest on Fireday. But signz, the price of dark ore has dropped tremendously T-T

Promyvion-Holla

Today, we set off for Promyvion-Holla. Read from Forum boards that this is the most difficult Promyvion. Oh well, What's fun when there's no {excitement} at all?

With 2 alliances, we set off. Same as Promyvion-Mea, there's 4 levels to climb to reach the Spire. However, Peach realised that after the recent updates, it seems that the Monsters aggro distance is shorter than normal. 4 deaths at level 3.

A party of 6 of us (2 x BLM/WHM, WHM/BLM, PLD/WAR, WAR/NIN, RNG/NIN) enter the NM battle at level 4. We almost had it! But luck just wasn't at our side. Though there was strategy, but the NM has it's own agenda. Instead of stealing the melees' buff, hugh chunk of HP was stole instead...That's strange!

With our RNG fell, the 2 tanks fell too, Peach knows that it's unable to finish the NM without tanks. So with Hit points in the red, Peach ran for the exit. But the other members were wiped out.

Well, a learning experience and Peach believes that all of us will be better fighters next round. Though there are mistakes to be learnt, Peach doesn't like the "blaming game". I know that all of us had done our best. We will try again till we win the fight!

Goodbye Darkserge!

Yet another close buddy leaving Seraph to seek new adventure in Remora. Darkserge, the one who guide me when I first started the game. The one who gave me items out from his own pockets without asking for it to be returned. The one who remembers that I need alot of high levels help for my AF3 and helped me organised it. The one who remembers Peach for avatar quests. The only one who I know in-game and in real-life.....

This Campfire photo was taken in Dec 2003. It was the best photo that I had taken. When I look at it each time, it just reminds me of all the things we did when we just started out adventuring. Thanks Serge! And all the best in Remora!

We ran through Xcarbard to bring Xiong & Shin to get their teleport crystal. How cold it is...Brrrr. Need winter wear!

Goodbye Lourenzo

This day, Peach is sad.

Lourenzo is leaving Seraph to begin his adventure in Remora. He is one of the finest adventurer Peach had met in Vanadiel, always availing himself to help whoever needed. Aw...going to miss his little jokes cracking through our linkshell, his helpfulness and adventuring side by side.

However, Peach sincerely wish Lourenzo all the best in his new chapters of adventuring! The sight of each other may not be within distance, but the spirit of adverture will always dwell in our hearts, right, Lourenzo?

Promyvion-Mea

This is my 1st COP mission. Excited!

After spending more than 50K Gil to equip for the capped level 30 mission, we set off with 2 alliances. There's 4 levels to climb to reach the spire. And at each level, a MR need to be hunted and killed in order for a teleport to the next level to be available. The climbing was a breeze as the 2 alliances are led by very experienced players, Iio, Zaan & Ces.

After reaching the Spire, we rest up, review our strategy and enter the battlefield to face the NM. Oh my, it was TALL! It was a close win for us, with my last magic from my Manafont, the NM fell! I wouldn't think what will happen if the magic was resisted. Phew... But thanks for the sacrifice by WHM-Chunz and RNG-Rally. If wouldn't be possible without them, and all members in the party.

Peach was too excited during the battle that screenshots were forgotten. haha! Till the next Promyvion! 2 more to go!
