Verener Ring - 200k!

Finally Peach got her Verener Ring!! It's lvl 34, +3 Accuracy. And it's worth 200k gil in Auction House right now. The initial plan to quest for this item, was to sell the ring to get some gil to buy a Light Staff for Peach's white mage job. However, after receiving the ring, Peach has second thought on whether to sell the ring =(

The quest is long...with travelling from Rabao to Norg, to Korroloka Tunnel, to Bastok, to Selbina... Peach was even killed once by Jammer Leech + links of leeches in Korroloka Tunnel (someone trying to zone it and peach was busy looking at the map) . Fortunately, Grey is with Peach and got a raise 2~

The longest part in the quest, was to farm the Eastern gems. Having to need 5 gems each, Grey and I spent about 2-3 hrs to farm for 10 gems.

And clicking on the clams are funny...Grey mentioned that it's a talking clam (when we keep on clicking it to see the animation).

So should Peach sell the verener ring? help!!!

Goblins, as mentioned earlier in one of the post, they are cute creatures..but this time, they are against Peach...and putting all the blames on Peach. Thought putting these screenshots up as they look cute even though they are planning something evil...haha!

Argghhh... How irritating this is :(

A while ago was leveling my WHM (level 50), had a good party (after some kicking of a gil-selling PLD - who can say MP is ok when it is less than 10). This is what happened (I already clear Genkai 1-4) :

Chapter 3 COP Mission

Interesting storyline...but Peach becomes a criminal!!!! :(

COP Mission 2-5 = Ancient Vows!

First, a small rant. COP Missions are gil-depleting, is EVIL due to the difficulty. However, having to complete each part of the missions bring satisfaction to all adventurers. No matter how many tries, how much gil, we want to finish it!

COP M2-5 Ancient Vows is a pain to all. Peach was not exempted from such pain. Spent a whopping 100k gil or more inorder to win the BCNM fight. It is a capped 40 BCNM, having to defeat 3 Mamet-19-Epsilons (undead) (all with the same names) which resist most enfeebs and SLEEP spells/songs. Worst of all, these Mamet change its' jobs several times during the battle and when it changes to be a BLM, it like to spam -ga magic which hurts the whole party. These Mamets can also do a special move that can absorb all physical attacks to heal itself (Transmogfication) or Magic attacks to heal itself (Mindwall). Throughout our 3 attempts, Transmogfication = countless times, and Mindwall = 0.


Mamets

1st Attempt :

Party config was BLM/WHM (Peach), 2 x BST/WHM (Iio & Neo), PLD/WAR (Squallwl), WHM/BLM (Chunz), RNG/NIN (Kaibutso). Another party had already went in twice and lost both runs. So, Peach was positive that this 1st attempt is just a "trial" run for everyone to see what's inside the BCNM (Everyone needs to go through a learning curve!). We failed terribly, not even able to kill one of the 3.

2nd Attempt :

We continue with this mission a week later, after the other party won the fight after our 1st failure. With their valuable experience and lessons, we are all equipped once again. This time, our party config was BLM/WHM (Peach), BST/WHM (Neo), PLD/WAR (Mata), WHM/BLM (Chunz), SMN/WHM (Zaan), RNG/NIN (Kaibutso). Of the 6, Mata and Zaan had already won the BCNM the week before. Really thank them for their generousity and effort, as these missions are gil-dependent, in Peach's humble opinion.

We almost have it! But we didn't. We managed to kill the 1st Mamet and all was looking good. However, near the end of the 2nd Mamet, our dear PLD fell...and all things started to make a bad turn. We managed to kill the 2nd Mamet, but the 3rd Mamet turned to a BLM and -ga the remaining members. RNG, SMN and BLM fell...leaving BST (Neo) kiting the evil Mamet and WHM (Chunz) desperately healing mp so as to raise the members. SMN (Zaan) + BLM (Peach) has reraise on, but Zaan fell again after reraise . Peach didnt stay long breathing too.... Haiz...

Neo (BST) did a very very good job to kite it all around. And from 3/4 life, it was brought down to last 5% by Neo slashing with his weapon, Kai raised to do Barrage + shadowbind (and later KO again), Mata raised to tank it awhile (and later KO again) etc. Though we failed, with some regrets (it's the last 5%!!!), it was still a very excitement moment for us.

3rd Attempt :

We went back to town to restock and at the same time waited for our 2-hr ability to be recharged. With all spirits high, we enter the battle field once again. This time, it was a clearer easier battle as all of us were rather familized with the battle. No one KO and we won the battle in 16 minutes.

We entered into cutscene and washed up to shore at Gustaberg (haha!)

How sweet it is to taste victory! It wouldn't be possible without the helpers, who either enter the BCNM with us even after they won the battle, or accompany the party up to Monnach Linn and sit quietly & anxiously outside the BCNM hoping to hear the victory trumpet. Those private message with "Jia You" and "Good Luck" were calming message to Peach. Not forgetting those /Cheer and /hurray emotes showered before the party stepped into the BCNM. That's what I call fun in a game =)

Erm..no, the name is actually for a NM crab. What a strange name....

Anyway, after the COP mission, 4 of us, including Wiz, Grey and Mata went to kill this NM crab to complete the quest. I still can skill up on my Club skill (137) here!

Finally! Some adventure after a long break!

With an alliance of 18 People (Wooo!), we moved off to Phomiuna Aqueducts to fight the NM (capped 40).

Led by Lareine, we tracked through Phomiuna Aqueducts, sneaking constantly, and avoiding the Taurs (which are True sight) as much as we could. Peach feels the climbing of the ladder is the most scary part. So slow! Yet afraid the monsters below will bite my taru butt off T-T

The NM fight was "too easy" for a 18-alliance. It happened so fast that Peach forgot to pose for a picture.. haha! :)

After the NM fight, we moved off to find a room which we supposed to solve a puzzle. Everyone start clicking the touch, anyhow, anyway, the door opened. On the way to that room, Peach saw this party of Fomors, cool~
