Feb 2005 Updates

Peach had just download Feb updates....but but....when Peach entered Vanadiel..Surprises were waiting.

When Peach uses a Republic stables Medal, the log says (see pic) :

When Peach casts Warp, the log says (!!!!!!!!) :

and instead of the warp animation, Peach was hit by Stone Magic!!! :

And when Peach cast Cure on herself, the animation changed to.. (not sure what is this animation...Holy magic?) :

BCNM 40 - Steamed Sprouts

Had done this BCNM a couple of times. This day, Peach attempted this BCNM again, with Ces, Vot, Grey, Kai and Mata.

We went in 6 times, won all 6 times, and got 4 Phalanx Scrolls, 1 Erase Scroll & 1 Utsusemi: Ni Scroll.

Woot! Got about 363K+++ Gil each!

Went another round of BCNM 40 again. But the drops are terrible. Out of the 6 runs, only 1 Erase scroll dropped.. :( This time, we net in only about 124K+++ each.

Opo Opo Crown Quest Part 2

Completed the Opo Opo Crown pre-requsite quest 1 some time ago. Today, Peach completed the pre-requisite quest 2. The NPC wanted 20000g from me! T-T

Skillup in Beadeaux

Peach had many skillup session lately, as most of us would want to have our special Weapon skill. While having skillups in Beadeaux, we fought the 3 NMs - Ruby, Diamond and Adaman Quadav.

Ruby dropped 2x, Diamond once...and Peach got the Diamond.. ;p

Carbuncle Mitts

After our ZM 4 BCNM, we helped luka with his Carbuncle Mitts. This NM is said to be "difficult" as most of the the time he will open the fight with Searing Light.

The fight went well and Luka got his Mitts! ^^

ZM4 BCNM

A break from COP Missions, time to do Zilart Mission 4!

Had delay this mission for a long long time...

We farmed the 4 unlit lanterns in a seperate outing in Temple of Uggalepih(see previous blog entries).

All of us reset our hate for Tonberry. Arghh.. Peach has to pay 1500 gil!

We made our way to Den of Rancor via Temple of Uggalepih, passing through a Temple Guardian. Fortunately for us, a jp party was there bringing down the Temple Guardian, hence we were able to run through the opened door.

When we reached the "paintbrush room", we struggled to open the door with our paintbrush, no exact instructions on how to open (most adventurers with the key item were all 1st timers). Luckily, the jp party opened the door, they must had been wondering how come we took so long... -.-;

We zoned into Den of Rancor, and made our way to light our lanterns at the Alter.

After which we proceed to the BCNM area. Peach's party consist of : 1 BLM, 2 x WHM, 1 MNK, 1 PLD & 1 WAR. As most of us were lvl 68 and above, the fight was pretty easy. Except for Peach's little heart-attack...LAG T-T

This battle is against 3 Tonberrys (BLM, SMN & THF).

After we zone out of BCNM (and a distance later), we saw the "KING CHAIR", and up we climb!

Steelfleece Baldarich

The BIG Ram!

While on the way to complete our COP mission, someone in the alliance exclaimed that Steelfleece had sprawned. We hurried there and managed to claim the ram. Easy kill due to our alliance..but nothing fantestic dropped, but Peach got the Rampage Horn to complete a quest! Yeah! Thanks to all members who let Peach has it. :)

COP Mission Chap 3!

Yeah! Finally! We can fight diabolos!

Sandy Route

Here, we had to kill an Overgrown Ivy NM in Carpenters' Landing. The fight was easy for our alliance. Indeed, it was overkilled....

Windy Route

We proceed to Attohwa Chasm for another NM, called lioumere. It is like an antlion. This NM will step back to the "Loose Sand" to regain it's HP. Thus, fast kill + shadowbind + Magic Bind are important. Again, it was overkilled for our alliance..

After the fight, the excitement came. The climbing of the hill!!! The road was narrow. And Peach is slow, short and clumsy. What an exercise!

Farming for Chips

Earlier on, we went to Pso'Xja to farm for chips needed for this mission. In order to gain entry to some of the areas deeper in Pso'Xja, we had to collect the blue and green bracelet by fight NMs.

We farm mimics + Spiders for the chips. Fighting with mimics were terrible. The AOE Stun+poison attack was so annoying. And the AOE range is real far.....

Diabolos!!

Finally! The BCNM to challenge Diabolos! The trip getting to the BCNM is much much easier compared to the last BCNM!

In Pso'Xja, we tracked the red and black warps, and took the elevator down. We reached the Gate and hold our pass up to gain entry.

After briefing and arranging our battle party, we stepped inside to see Diabolos..and he is...

Diabolos BCNM was much simpler than the last BCNM with the mammets. The only "heart-attack" was the dropping of tiles in the midst of the battle. Therefore, standing on the right tile is crucial. If any player dropped with the tiles, it is as good as KO as there were alot of Aggro Spiders below.....

Our battle went rather smooth, except for a special attack by Diabolos - Sleepga + Bio. This sleep cannot be woke up by taking poison potion. By the time Mata (PLD) cure to wake me up, most members were already in yellow HP :( Peach had to do curaga (to wake the others) and curaga2 to heal, and at the same time cure3 + erase to heal Mata, our brave PLD. And with all these cures, Diabolos HATE me, and Peach was hit left, right and centre. Fortunately with good team members and good team work, Iio + neo + mata cure me in time (if not I would have KO) and Lare and Vot fired their shots. The battle ended in 11 mins.

Bard AF1

Completed Bard AF 1, with Vot's and Grey's help. The fight was rather simple..as Peach went as BLM, instead of Bard.

Yeah, got my Paper Knife for Bard!

But Peach wonders can a knife made by paper be used to pierce the monsters? Hmm....

Sleepga2 NM

Finally! Able to get the help of 2 parties to help with this NM. Really really thankful for all who helped, even though it's already quite late in the night {sweat}.

The fight went well in the beginning. Until it release something which block all magic (Don't know what that call..Zaan mentioned it after the fight). Vot, our dear PLD, had a Water4 and followed by a Eyes On Me attack.. and KO :( Wasn't in time to cure Vot as Peach didn't know the monster cannot be Stunned by magic due to it's magic defense it put up. For all searching information about this quest here, Peach suggest BLM should just back up healing... sorry vot :(

Peach did not manage to take screenshots during the fight as trying to concentrate on the attacks to be stunned and was also standing quite far from the fight. This is what was taken before the corpse of the monster fade away..haha

Another screenshot was taken while we are clearing the crabs before the NM fight. It shows the party config made up for this fight.

And Peach got her Sleepga2 scroll and 3000 gil! Thank you all for helping and congratulations to all who had also completed this quest at the same time... Peach knows you got an additional of 400k gil into your pockets...buy some presents for Peach? hehe =)

Days & Nights in Temple of Uggalepih

Ready for another adventure!

This day, an alliance of 2 parties went to Temple of Uggalepih, to farm 4 unlit lanterns, so as to prepare for the ZM4 scheduled on the following week.

Besides the Lanterns, Peach had a good adventure! Really grateful for all the help given by the parties. Ad hoc "agendas" were added and the party members were all helpful to help Peach complete. Thank God for friends! =)

Death From Above

While waiting for another party to arrive, Iio brought me, Grey, Cesa to the spot with ??? to sprawn the bee. Peach had the Bee Larva for a long time, now is the time to get my honetneedle (dagger). The bee went down pretty fast, given that we are all level 68 and above.

Unlit Lanterns

When the rest of the members arrived, we proceed to the area where we can find Tonberry Maledictor. The drop of the lanterns were rather good.. as we got 1 level 75 thief, 1 level 70 thief (occasionally) and 1 level 65++ thief. We have 5 lanters altogether!

Sozu

While camping for the lanterns, Sozu Rogberry poped once. Iio had always wanted the Thief's Knife. Alas...it didn't drop the Knife again T-T (Iio, by the way, I realised there's 3 kind of Sozu, and each have their different sprawn area...no wonder the jp maps found in the internet stated different area with "Sozu" written. )

Bonze Marberry - Windurst Mission 7-2

As this NM is on the same map, Peach requested the parties' help to kill this NM for a cursed key. After getting the cursed key, Lare led Grey, Cesa and me to find the door which we have to trade the key to get a cutscene. Yeah! Rank 8 here I come!
